Patrick Cain Callinan studied drama and acting at the University of Delaware, Bucks County College, and voice and opera at Peabody Institute of Music Baltimore, MD. He has sung numerous leading roles with Massachusetts own Valley Light Opera, and the Commonwealth Opera.
He founded, directed, produced, and starred in "The 8th Avenue Revue", a musical revue that toured nationally and internationally, as well as appearing in off-Broadway productions in New York City. Patrick has performed summer stock and stock opera productions with the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA, the Lakewood Musical Playhouse in the Poconos, the Hedgerow Theatre of Pennsylvania, the Hartford Opera Company of Belair MD, and the Berkshire Public Theater in the Berkshires.
Patrick was on the road for 7 years with his own show band, "Taylor and Cain", and made numerous NYC appearances at "Don't Tell Mama's" and "The Club Colba" as well as on cruise ships and at resorts.
In the late 1980's he launched "Le Cabaret" and its parent company, High Note Productions. In 1989 he added karaoke and DJ services to the mix. His popularity as a karaoke host and DJ has kept him very busy. (Use the link at page top to see Patrick's current karaoke venues) Besides those regular weekly gigs he has been honored twice by requests to provide karaoke for 5,ooo bicyclists in Richmond, VA for the nationally recognized Pallotta Team Works AIDS rides.
Even with such a full schedule, Patrick makes time to be a regular soloist at several Massachusetts churches including the First Park Memorial Baptist Church of Springfield, the United Methodist Church in East Longmeadow, plus the Edwards Church, and the Laurel Park Summer Services in Northampton
